Safety is a major concern during a Stage Hypnosis show, and Ian Dee takes it very seriously.

Ian is a member of F.E.S.H - he follows the guidelines set by The Federation of Ethical Stage Hypnotists, and carries full Public Liability Insurance.

F.E.S.H. is the oldest and most established organisation of professional stage hypnotists in the UK. Working with the Home Office, they they help to produce regulations and guidlelines that all UK hypnotists are required to work to.

Some of the requirements for performing hypnotism on stage are:

  • The Law - All hypnotists are required to comply with the Hypnotism Act 1952 - revised 1996
  • Insurance - All hypnotists must have public liability insurance. In the unlikely event that someone gets hurt, the hypnotist should have adequate insurance from which to provide compensation
  • Licensing - Any show that is open to the general public should comply with licensing laws that support the particular act or show

All members of F.E.S.H. are required to adhere to a strict code of conduct that governs what is, and is not, permissible when performing stage hypnosis. For more information, take a look at the F.E.S.H code of conduct.
